The world's only comprehensive "Big Movie" fan resource, covers every IMAX and other giant screen theater and film, worldwide.

The Big Movie Zone includes original, streaming clips with exclusive footage, plus original reviews, interviews, articles, and columns, trailers, behind-the-scenes clips, and more. Also, the site includes updated film listings for every Giant Screen theater worldwide, with maps and driving directions throughout the US, and direct links to online ticket purchase wherever available. BMZ has mini-web sites for every Giant Screen Film ever made, linked to and from theater pages. BMZ also catalogs all the large format DVDs and VHS tapes available for online purchase. In addition to linking to all large format theater web sites worldwide, BMZ is linked from the web sites of over 100 large format theater partners and counting around the globe.

BMZ Offline Theater Network

The BMZ has formed marketing partnerships with over 100 of the world?s 250 biggest large-format theaters (and counting), in countries as diverse as Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Finland, Kuwait, Malta, Great Britain, Canada, the United States, and many more. BMZ partners use BMZ slides, rack cards, posters, mini-posters , buttons and more. BMZ can help sponsors have presences in theaters and local markets through BMZ Theater Partners, reaching over 70 million ticket buyers a year.

BigMovieZone Corporate (K2 Communications)

Big Movie Zone was started as a separate company under the umbrella of K2 Communications Corporation. K2 Communications is the Executive Producer of the IMAX-format film Adventures in Wild California, directed by Everest's Greg MacGillivray, as well as Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag, directed by Stephen Low. K2 also signed a title sponsor for Everest and handled the launch marketing for that film, bringing day-and-date release and a Hollywood-style coordinated marketing program to large-format films for the first time ever. K2 has deals in place to develop and Executive Produce additional IMAX format films with top IMAX format directors and producers.

K2 has leveraged its relationships with large format film producers and large-format theaters worldwide to form the web site and online/offline network, covering all large format films and theaters. The BMZ Executive team includes the former head of Marketing and Sponsorship Recruitment for IMAX Corp., a former head of the California State Film Commission, and the former CEO and owner of one of the largest independent ad agencies on the West Coast.

In addition to IMAX format film experience and mainstream advertising experience, K2 brings a strong background in worldwide event planning and marketing. K2 is also experienced in television production, inlcuding documentaries for national cable television directed by an Academy Award winning director, and three recent one-hour programs for Discovery Networks' Travel Channel relating to Wild California, one of which won Best of Show Documentary at the Houston Film Festival, and was suggested by Discovery Networks for Emmy consideration. The Wild California documentaries have been licensed to play in 139 countries to a potential audience of 1 billion homes.

Executive Team

Ryan Kresser, President and Publisher

As founder, Ryan Kresser oversaw the conceptualization, creation and construction of He was an Executive Producer of the IMAX-format film Adventures in Wild California, produced and directed by Everest's Greg MacGillivray, and backed by $30 million in cash and advertising value. Kresser also oversaw the creation and construction of the web site to accompany Adventures in Wild California.

Kresser has written documentaries for television with an Academy Award winning director. He previously worked in the mainstream advertising world in the areas of marketing and copywriting. In addition to actively overseeing the creative content and business operations for Big Movie Zone, Kresser writes, produces and directs all BMZ Original Clips, and conducts original on-camera interviews for these clips.

He also works with sponsors to tailor meaningful, interactive online/offline packages to meet their needs.

Robert Kresser, CEO

Robert Kresser previously owned one of the largest independent advertising agencies on the West Coast with over $100 million in yearly billings, and clients including Arco, Winston Tires, Albertsons supermarkets, Alpine/Luxman stereos, Kaiser Permanente, K-Swiss, Daihatsu Automobiles, the State of California and many more. As an industry leader Kresser served as President of the California Advertising Alliance and WSAAA (Western States Advertising Agency Association), and helped organize industry programs supporting environmental causes, literacy and the state's economic development interests. He was an Executive Producer of Adventures in Wild California IMAX-format film and has several other IMAX-format films in development with top IMAX-format producers and directors.

Bob serves as a strategic advisor for BigMovieZone, and brings his insight into marketing and advertising as well as corporate sponsor recruitment.

Mark Kresser, Editor

Mark Kresser oversees content and programming for the site, as well as marketing partnerships with large-format theaters worldwide. Mark also works on the development of the BMZ's other major strategic partnerships. He previously oversaw a re-design of the Bank of America web site, and worked with K2 Communications on the marketing for Adventures in Wild California IMAX-format film.
